How good is a wool coat for winter in a place like Minneapolis?

Golden Ratio asked:

What sort of wool coat is best? I mean, I have other “poofy” jackets, but I really want a nice cut men’s wool coat, which will also keep me warm. I think the 3/4 length ones are good, but I’m not sure. Any suggestions? Brand? Type? Plz give all details, so I know exactly what coat you’re talking about.

Thanks!

you could also do a toggle coat - =&sortby=&id=14919674&parentid=M_APP_OUTERWEAR&sortProperties=+product.marketingPriority,-product.startDate&navCount=3&navAction=poppush&color=

you could also try a basic coat -
